linkedn't

linkedin, but it says what it means.

Somewhere along the way the world's largest professional network turned into the world's largest creative-writing exercise. Every layoff is a “journey”, every quarter is “incredible”, and every poster is suddenly “humbled and honored” to tell their whole network about it. linkedn't puts a Deslop button under every post in your feed and translates it into what it actually says, right where the post was.

the problem

Nobody talks like a LinkedIn post talks. A man watches his daughter refuse broccoli and somehow turns it into a lesson about closing a B2B deal. Layoffs become journeys, quitting becomes “a difficult decision made with immense gratitude”, and every single person is humbled, which is a strange thing to announce about yourself in a post with your own face attached.

Nobody talks like this out loud. Everybody posts like this.

what it does

Click Deslop under any post and it gets translated in place, in a quiet card, with a “Show original” button for anyone who misses the performance. The poster never finds out. They keep posting into the void while you read them clearly for the first time.

You pick how blunt you want it. The Group Chat is how the post would read if it got screenshotted and mocked. Touch Grass is plain English for people who go outside. TL;DR is what actually happened, one line, no lessons learned.

they wrotethey meant
“I'm humbled and honored…”Look at me.
“We're like a family here”You will cry in the bathroom.
“Let's circle back on this”I am begging you to forget this.
“Fast-paced environment”You'll find out why the role is open.
“Thoughts? 👇”I am so alone.

built like the thing it mocks

The extension, a small backend, and the linkednt.com landing page all live in one monorepo. The landing page is a pitch-perfect clone of LinkedIn's own UI, same feed cards, same blue, same typography energy, because the joke only works if the interface plays it completely straight and lets the copy do the work.

It doesn't read your whole feed, only the posts you point it at. It doesn't tell anyone what you translated, and it doesn't store the text of anything. It can't stop people from posting like this. It can only stop you from having to read it raw.

A parody. Not affiliated with LinkedIn. Obviously.
